Christmas and New Year Gift Ideas

December 18, 2015

Hello dear friends,

Christmas is coming and we all start thinking of the gifts we are going to present to our family, friends and colleges.

As an IT team (free screensavers company), we have navigated the Internet for different technical gifts. So, here are 5 things what we have found out to be interested and unordinary.

  1. Christmas is time when we gather together with our family or friends. Sometimes we even prepare a Christmas dinner together, especially BBQ. For this occasion Lightsabre tongs can be a good present. Look at it, it`s funny, but the cooker will look like a real hero with it!
  2. For a big company we offer a giant piano mat. Have fun!
  3. If you plan to make a present for a teenager – gamer, have a look at a PlayStation mount. Though adults will hate it, a teenager will be happy!
  4. If you need a sport present for an active person or for a person who plans to go into sports in a new year, then a good choice is SWEGWAY. It looks that it is easy to drive it, or no…..
  5. Nowadays there are lots of smart things in our life. Do you know that even football can be a smart ball? It connects to a phone and the app that goes with it tells you how hard you just kicked it. Amazing!

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

And download free screensavers for getting in the holiday mood fast and easy!

Best regards,

3 Myths And Facts About Screensavers

October 16, 2012

3 myths and facts about screensavers

Hello Dear Friends,

Nowadays screensavers are not so popular like it was 10 years ago. Some people even does not know about their existence or just are sure in their useless, while other people adore screensavers and spend lots of time in searching for a good and free screensaver in the Internet.

Newfreescreensavers.com would like to reveal 3 main myths and facts about free screensavers

1)      Burn in effect

Today screensavers are used more for fun and to personalize your computer or monitor when it is idle. If you use CRT and plasma monitors, then the screensaver is required to prevent damage of such monitors by blanking the screen or filling it with moving pictures when the computer is idle.

2)      Viruses

The screensavers themselves do not contain viruses, but exe files may contain viruses. So we recommend to use only approved and reliable sources with good reputation and a good anti-virus program

3)      It is impossible to delete a screensaver – definitely a myth

The screensaver is just a computer application which can be deleted at a will easily. To learn How to delete a screensaver, visit our Help page.

Only screensavers that come with Windows can’t be removed.

So, today screen savers are more about personalization than computer monitor protection.

Select and download your screensavers from our big collection of free safe screensavers on www.newfreescreensavers.com.
