Festivals of autumn

Autumn is rich on various festivals around the world.

Basically these are gastronomic and wine festivals. The largest beer festival, of course, is Oktoberfest, which attracts up to 6 million people annually. This year it starts on September 22.

Among the autumn festivals are gaining strength festivals of balloons and fireworks.

One of the most colorful and large-scale is the Balloon Festival in the USA. It takes place on October 6-14.

To see spectacular salutes is better to go to Seoul. Annually in late September – early October the world’s best pyrotechnics create a unique atmosphere of celebration and beauty in the Korean capital.

If you want something “spicy”, then you can come to the holiday of Halloween or the Day of the Dead. The last one takes place in Mexico from October 31 to November 2. This holiday is so unique that in 2003 it was marked by UNESCO and it was included in the list of intangible cultural heritage.

What to do with a pumpkin on the eve of Halloween?!

We hope that on the eve of Halloween you all have prepared pumpkins for the decoration of your houses and downloaded Halloween screensavers for the holiday mood ;-).

Today we would like to share with you with one more pumpkin idea for Halloween.

It’s a pumpkin pie!

Pumpkin pie

Ingredients:

butter – 175 g, orange peel – 10-15 g; flour – 0.35 kg; cold water – 2 tbsp. l.

cardamom powder – a couple of pinch;

eggs – 3 pieces;

clove ground – whisper;

nutmeg ground – 2-3 pinches;

pumpkin – 1 kg;

salt – 0.5 tsp;

ground ginger – whisper;

cream – 70 ml;

ground cinnamon – 1 tbsp. l .;

sugar – 85-100 g.

Crumble the butter together with flour, add cold water and egg. Stir the dough, roll it into a ball, roll it with food film and send it to the fridge for 15 minutes. Then distribute the dough in the form, hold it for an hour in the refrigerator, and at this time prepare the filling. Bake the pumpkin in the oven for 35-40 minutes, then peel the pulp and turn it into a mash with a blender. Add salt, sugar, all spices, zest, two eggs. On the basis made from the dough put a press (for example beans) and bake for 15 minutes. After that fill the form with the filling and bake at 180 degrees for an hour. Done!

Hello friends!

A bright September has left us  and it is high time to have a look at October.

October is waiting for us with trees painted in ever-existing indeed autumn colors, thanks to which the streets of European cities acquire a special charm. Crowds of tourists have subsided, and the weather, although sometimes the rain may scare, but still allows you to make pleasant and informative travel, and in the south it is even possible to swim in the sea.

This October is rich for holidays this year.  One of the most significant, of course, is the German Oktoberfest in Munich and the bright Festival of Lights in Berlin, the French Feast of Chestnut (the second half of October, Paris), the Pilar Festival (October 6-14, Zaragoza, Spain), the Amsterdam Dance Event ADE) (October 17-21, Amsterdam, The Netherlands), Chocolate Festival (October 19-28, Perugia, Italy).  Iceland already in October celebrates the arrival of winter on the colorful holiday of Vetrnatr

The last day of October, Europe plunges into the mystical atmosphere of Halloween. This holiday, the eve of All Saints’ Day is celebrated cheerfully, with colorful costumes of every possible evil spirits and large-scale concerts.

As you may see, autumn is the great time for traveling, receiving new knowledge and having fun.
